In his speech, MPI Minister Nguyen Chi Dung stated that the launching was the most important event of the “Connecting Viet Nam Innovation Network 2018” program.

The ministry is urgently coordinating with relevant ministries and agencies to develop a national strategy on Industry 4.0, including the creation of centers for innovation and the mobilization of talents and intellectuals in the field of science and technology, he said.

Dung added that the “Innovation Network” initiative has gathered the participation of more than 100 scientists and technology specialists representing the generation of talented Vietnamese intellectuals who are learning and working abroad, together with hundreds of scientists and technology experts inside the country and leading technology enterprises.

According to the minister, PM Phuc spoke highly of the return of youths representing overseas Vietnamese scientists and intellectuals, especially in the context that the Industry 4.0 is booming and becoming a great opportunity for developing countries, including Viet Nam, to transform the economy, make development breakthroughs, and bridge the development gap with others.

At the ceremony, representatives of overseas Vietnamese scientists and experts talked about their concerns and put forward recommendations in order to boost the development of the Innovation Network.
