PM bids farewell to outgoing Lao Ambassador

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that Viet Nam would continue to share experience and support Laos in staff training.

The Government chief made the affirmation on October 9 in Ha Noi while receiving outgoing Lao Ambassador to Viet Nam Thongsavanh Phomvihane. 

Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane took the occasion to thank Vietnamese competent ministries and agencies for supporting him to successfuly accomplish his mission in Viet Nam. He also expressed the honor to receive a first-class Labor Order of the Vietnamese Party and State for his contributions to promoting bilateral relations. 

The guest leader treasured the Vietnamese Party, State and people for supporting Lao counterparts in the past and at present, particularly in overcoming natural disasters over the past years.

In reply, PM Phuc applauded the ambassador for his efforts to prepare for visits by the two countries’ senior leaders, including the Vietnamese PM’s visits and attendance at international conferences over the past three years and the recent Viet Nam visit by Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith.

The PM also expressed his sympathy with the Lao government and people over severe losses in humans and property in central and southern provinces of Laos./.
