PM chairs Gov’t regular meeting for November

At the meeting, the Government will listen to and discuss socio-economic performance in November and 11 months of 2019; a draft resolution on key tasks and measures on socio-economic performance in November and state budget in 2019; law making program on the Intellectual Property Law (amended), the Cinematography Law (amended), and the Road Transport Law (amended).

The Ministry of Planning and Investment reported that the socio-economic performance in November and 11 months were positive. Agro-forestry-fishery sector made a good growth. Total retail sales of goods and services experienced a month-on-month increase of 11.8%. The number of foreign arrivals surged sharply, reaching nearly 16.3 million, up 15.4% against the same period last year. 

Consumer price index (CPI) saw a month-on-month increase of 2.57%, which is the lowest growth rate over the past three years. 

Export turnover increased slightly. Export surplus valued US$ 9.1 billion. Viet Nam has 30 hard currency earners of over US$ 1 billion and five of over US$ 10 billion. 

Total amount of FDI disbursement reached US$ 17.6 billion. About 126,700 enterprises were founded. Up to 36,900 enterprises resumed operation, up 15.7% against the same period last year. 

However, the domestic economy is struggling with high pork prices and declined overseas shipment of key agro-products, emerging social issues, environmental problems./.
