He stressed while receiving on April 16 a delegation of over 30 leaders of big firms from Kansai (Japan) involved in finance, transport, electronics, engineering, IT, export and import. They are members of the Kansai Economic Federation (Kankeiren) chaired by Mr. Yoshihisa Akiyama.

Mr. Yoshihisa Akiyama affirmed that Kankeiren will strive best to encourage Kansai businesses to further cooperate with Vietnamese counterparts, especially in IT and other supportive industries. He revealed that some Kansai enterprises are proactively campaigning for the opening of their representative offices in Vietnam. The guest suggested to launch direct daily flights between Kansai and Hanoi.

After briefing Vietnam's great potentialities and achievements, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made comments that Vietnam and Japan share many cultural similarities and the bilateral friendship and strategic partnership are now developed well. Japan is Vietnam's biggest investor, partner and ODA provider, the PM emphasized.

He agreed with the suggestion of the Kankeiren Chairman to open Kansai-Hanoi direct flights and assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to prepare for the launch of the flight.

On April 17, the Kankeiren delegation will work with Minister of Planning and Investment Võ Hồng Phúc and attend the Vietnam-Japan Economic Forum to seek for investment opportunities in Vietnam.
