At the meeting, Phuc talked about Cambodian PM Hun Sen’s recent visit to Viet Nam, during which the two sides inked 10 cooperative documents, including two legal documents on border acknowledging the completion of 84% of border demarcation work.

For her side, Men Sam An expressed thanks to the warm welcome of the PM and the Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam, confirming that Cambodia is determined to maintaining and upholding the traditional friendship relations between the two nations.

She was delighted with  the good relationship between the two Government Inspectorate agencies, adding that the Government Inspectorate of Viet Nam receives Cambodian students for training every year, hoping to boost cooperation between the two agencies.

Cambodia will make efforts in effectively implementing agreements reached by the two Governments and promoting delegation exchanges to enhance friendship relations, she added.

PM Phuc expected that the Cambodian Deputy PM will encourage organizations, associations and people to advocate the two nations’ National Assemblies to soon approve the legal documents on border demarcation works.

He wanted the Cambodian Government, PM and Deputy PM to support the Vietnamese living in Cambodia, especially in the field of legal papers so they can stabilize their lives and make contributions to local areas.

The two countries should tackle obstacles and difficulties to accelerate the development of trade, said Phuc, adding that the Vietnamese Government backs and facilitates the two nations’ inspectorate agencies to strengthen coordination, especially in training.
