Vessel KN-781, which is equipped with a helicopter landing platform, was built by the Ha Long Shipbuilding Company.

A similar ship is being made by the company and will be handed over in this July.

PM Dung hailed the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation for fulfilling the assigned mission and contributing to the protection of the national sovereignty.

Mr. Dung also suggested that the Corporation should continue building and other contracted vessels, ensuring their delivery schedule and quality while maintaining and repairing ships for the coast guard.

The Government chief also proposed the Corporation work closely with competent agencies and fishermen to build steel-made fishing vessels./.
