The province has decided to suspend unorganized festivals and re-opened relics and landscapes to welcome visitors amid tightening control of the epidemic.

There has been nCoV positive case detected in the locality so far, according to the local authorities.

In 2019, the province welcomed 4.8 million tourists, of the figure as many as 3.5 million arrivals visited Hue Imperial Citadel in Hue City.

Speaking during the inspection tour, PM Phuc spoke highly of efforts by Thua Thien-Hue in effectively controlling the epdidemic, which has helped consolidate the trust of local residents and foreign visitors on Viet Nam’s capacity for controlling the epidemic.

He asked the province to continue strict realization of the Party and Government’s directions on nCoV prevention and control, especially cleaning and disinfecting at relics and landscapes, contributing to realizing the goal of welcoming 5-5.2 million arrivals this year.

According to the Ministry of Health, there have been 13 nCoV patients confirmed in Viet Nam as of February 7, including eight in Vinh Phuc Province, three in Ho Chi Minh City, one in Khanh Hoa Province and one in Thanh Hoa Province.

Three patients have been cleared of the hospital, said the ministry.

As of Saturday morning, 724 died of nCoV and 34,879 others contracted the virus./.
