PM meets with Belarusian NA leaders

VGP – As part of his official tour to Belarus, PM Nguyen Tan Dung on May 16 in Minsk met with Chairman of the House of Representatives (Lower House) V. Andreichenko and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic (Upper House) A. Rusesky.

PM Dung briefed the hosts about the outcomes of the latest talks with his counterpart Mikhail Myiasnikovich.

He suggested the Belarus’ National Assembly strengthen legal supports to rapidly implement reached cooperation agreements, supervise the implementation of signed agreements and beef up cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides expressed their pleasure at the close linkages at the United Nations, Non-Alliance Movement and other multilateral forums and organizations, including inter-parliamentary forums on democracy and human rights.

PM Dung proposed the Belarusian side continue paving favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate into and do long-term business in the host country.

The two host leaders said that the Vietnamese and Belarusian legislatures have enjoyed close cooperation with the regular exchange of high-ranking delegations.

According to them, the Belarusian National Assembly strongly supports the bilateral cooperation especially in economics, trade and investment and hopes for the fulfillment of the US$1 billion two-way trade goal in the future.

The same day, PM Dung offered flowers at the Victory Square in the capital city of Minsk./.
