PM meets with Thai counterpart, WEF Chairman
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Thursday afternoon met with his Thai counterpart Yingluck Sinawatra and WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab on the sidelines of the 2012 World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.

PM Dung said that Vietnam would continue to spur the linkages in the spirit of mutual understanding and confidence.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen exchanges of delegations at all levels and and maintain the existing bilateral framework like the Joint Working Group on Political and Security Cooperation, political consultations between the two foreign ministries and the Joint Commission on Trade.
They reached a consensus to make full use of the East West Economic Corridor and sustainably tap water resources in Mekong River.

He hoped that the WEF would continue to focus on the topics of economic restructuring, shifting of growth models towards sustainability and response to development challenges as they are common concern of various countries in the region and the world.
For his part, the WEF Executive Chairman appreciated Vietnam’s cooperation in WEF’s activities and promised to consider the suggestions./.
