Both PM Dũng and Vice President Fernando Dias Dos Santos showed their satisfaction with the fine developments in the traditional friendship between Việt Nam and Angola.

PM Dũng spoke highly of the freshly-finished talks between the Angolan Vice President and his Vietnamese counterpart, adding that Việt Nam hopes to effectively deepen its cooperation with Angola.

The host leader proposed the two sides support each other at multilateral forums and boost exchanges of delegations at all levels as well as between businesspeople to promote mutual understanding.

According to the Vietnamese PM, the US$160 million two-way trade volume recorded in 2010 was relatively modest in comparison with the vast potentials for further cooperation between Việt Nam and Angola. Via the Angola-Việt Nam Intergovernmental Joint Committee, the two sides should further spur their trade linkages.

PM Dũng suggested the Angolan side creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to set footholds there, particularly in the areas of agriculture, telecom, oil and gas and construction.

He welcomed the opening of Angolan Embassy in Việt Nam.

For his part, Vice President Fernando Dias Dos Santos said he agreed with the Vietnamese Government chief’s proposals and suggestions.

Mr. Fernando Dias Dos Santos affirmed that Angola would work closely with Vietnamese partners to deploy the signed agreements./.
