PM receives WEF ASEAN businessmen

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc separately met with President of P&G Asia Pacific Magesvaran Surajan, Vice President of Shire Group Linda Seah, Regional Head (Asia-Pacific) for Group Government Affairs with HSBC in Hong Kong Doreen Steidle, and Vice President of GE Group Christian Bennett on May 12 on the sidelines of the WEF ASEAN 2017.

PM Phuc highly valued the business operation of P&G in Viet Nam while meeting with President of P&G Asia Pacific Magesvaran Surajan.

He treasured P&G support for APEC Viet Nam 2017, proposing the group to continue long-term investment in Viet Nam and contribute to promoting the economic ties between the Southeast Asian nation and the U.S.

Meeting with the Shire group’s leader, PM Phuc hailed high-tech applications in medical treatment in Viet Nam. The Government chief also welcomed its plan to broaden operation in Viet Nam in the coming time.

The host leader also lauded financial and banking services of HSBC in Viet Nam, thus contributing to raising competitiveness of the local credit and banking system. He suggested HSBC shake hands with Vietnamese commercial banks to expand businesses in foreign countries.

Finally, PM Phuc welcomed GE’s plan to broaden investment activities in Viet Nam especially in energy development and promote the Viet Nam-US ties./.
