At the meeting with the Google’s President of Asia-Pacific Operations, Mr. Phuc asked Google to pay attention to maintaining Viet Nam’s cultural identity while operating in Viet Nam, a country with a population of nearly 100 million people and holding great potential in developing information technology.

The PM highly spoke of Google’s effective coordination with the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications in building a process of addressing Vietnamese law violations on Google, expecting Google to continue cooperation in developing IT in Viet Nam, especially in terms of startups and human resources training.

Mr. Temsamani affirmed Google’s willingness to support Viet Nam during the digitalization of the economy.

In the Viet Nam Digital 4.0 Program, Google set a target of providing free training on digital skills for 500,000 small- and medium-sized Vietnamese enterprises by 2020 to help them improve competitiveness and gain more business opportunities in the digital economy, he said.

Google will carry out initiatives to help Vietnamese farmers digitalize agricultural production, and support people who work in innovation and manufacturing fields to effectively promote products on Google’s Youtube channel.

He pledged that Google will contribute more towards building a technological eco-system in Viet Nam.

While receiving the President of Carlsberg, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asserted that Viet Nam is enhancing equitization and capital withdrawal at State-owned enterprises in the principle of transparency, which brings opportunities for foreign investors, including Carlsberg.

Viet Nam is enhancing cooperation with Denmark in all fields, especially economics, he added.

Mr. Cees't Hart said the corporation is concerned about expanding investment in Viet Nam and Ha Noi Alcohol Beer and Beverage Company, adding that the corporation has joined hands with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other Vietnamese functional agencies to accelerate the process.

During the reception for President and CEO of General Electric Company (GE)’s Global Growth Organization, PM Phuc spoke highly of GE’s achievements during its 25-year presence in Viet Nam and hoped the U.S.-based multinational conglomerate will expand business to further contribute to the country’s development.

He confirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create all possible favorable conditions for enterprises, including GE, to do business in the country.

The PM took the occasion to invite the GE leader to attend the Viet Nam Business Summit (VBS), one of the most important events at the WEF ASEAN this year.

Mr. Dimitrief informed PM Phuc about GE’s plans to invest in the energy sector in Viet Nam, expecting that the Government to continue supporting the firm in upcoming projects.
