PM receives visiting Lao Ministers

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on December 15 in Hà Nội received separately Lao Minister of Public Health Eksavang Vongvichit and Minister of Post, Telecommunication and Communication Hiem Phommachanh, who are on working visits to Việt Nam.

Prime Minister Dũng highly spoke of the recent talks between Minister Eksavang Vongvichit and his Vietnamese counterpart and said he hoped that the two sides would deepen collaboration in experience sharing, manpower training, and medical treatment for residents in border areas. 

Mr. Dũng said the Vietnamese Government always supports the comprehensive ties between the two health ministries.

For his part, Minister Eksavang Vongvichit expressed wishes to foster the friendship and special cooperation between Laos and Việt Nam.

According to Mr. Eksavang Vongvichit, the two ministries have recently reached agreements on further cooperation in preventive medicine, enhancement of capacity for medical staff at hamlet and village levels, traditional medicine and manpower training.

Minister Eksavang Vongvichit said he hoped that the Vietnamese Government would continue standing by Laos in building a modern health care system in his country.

Receiving Lao Minister of Post, Telecommunication and Communication Hiem Phommachanh, Prime Minister Dũng said he hoped the talks between the Lao minister and his Vietnamese counterpart would open up a string of prospects and opportunities for further coordination between the two sides.

Việt Nam stands ready to share construction and development experience of posts and telecommunications with Laos, asserted Mr. Dũng.

Minister Hiem Phommachanh said he wanted to learn management and human training experience from Việt Nam./.
