After visiting the construction site and working with the EPC contractor Technip, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly spoke of great efforts made by the local authorities, investor, and contractors in designing, building of the work, and providing construction equipment (cranes, stone grinding machines, mortar mixers) and materials.

He asked Technip, Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group, and the Project Management Board to get the schedule back on track and quicken the pace of construction. He stressed that the Government and competent ministries will provide best conditions for the investors and the contractors to fulfill their commitments.

The PM requires Vietnamese contractors to consider the fulfillment on schedule an economic profit and an important political assignment which should be drastically conducted.

In the afternoon of the same day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng had a working session with leaders of Quảng Ngãi Province, the Oild Refinery Management Board and Vietnamese contractors.

The PM suggested the province authority to attract more foreign investors and pay attention to administrative reform to get rid of red tapes and troublesome procedures. Quảng Ngãi should focus on training human resource and developing such industries as engineering and shipbuilding to lay the primary foundation for successfully realizing its five-year socio-economic development plan 2006 -2010, the PM emphasized.
