Party Central Committee discusses socio-economic development strategy

VGP – The Party Central Committee continued to discuss the implementation of the ten-year socio-economic development strategy in the 2011-2020 period and another plan for the 2021-2030 period on October 9 in Ha Noi.

Delegates of the Party Central Committee discussed a draft report on the implementation of the socio-economic strategy in the 2011-2020 period and the building of a plan for the 2021-2030 period, as part of their ongoing 11th session.

On behalf of the Politburo, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the event. 

The same day, members of the committees and delegates worked in group on a report on the socio-economic situation in 2019 and the State budget in the year and gave feedbacks on a draft plan for socio-economic development for 2020, budget estimate in 2020 and the budget-finance plan for the 2020-2022 period.

Earlier, addressing the opening ceremony of the 11th plenum of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC), the Party chief said that the Economic and Social Sub-committee has proactively given comments on a draft report on the implementation of the 2011-2020 socio-economic development strategy and the 2016-2020 socio-economic development plan, socio-economic development strategy in the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2045, socio-economic development orientations and tasks in the 2021-2025 period. 

The draft report was researched in 42 thematic groups and received domestic and foreign comments. Especially, seven conferences were held to collect feedback of 63 local leaders, former leaders, experts and scientists./.
