Party and State leaders commemorate heroic martyrs

VGP – A delegation of leaders of the Party, State, and the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) on July 25 offered incense at the Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The delegation included Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, State President Truong Tan Sang, former State President Tran Duc Luong;  PM Nguyen Tan Dung, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An,  Chairman of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan.

The leaders expressed their deep gratitude to the great sacrifice of the heroic martyrs to the nation’s glorious revolutionary cause, national freedom and people’s happiness.

They later paid tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

Also in the morning, delegations from a number of ministries, agencies and organizations also laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and war martyrs.
