Party chief encourages new ambassadors to learn Hồ Chí Minh’s diplomacy art

VGP – Hosting a cordial reception given to Việt Nam’s newly-appointed ambassadors on Sunday morning, General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh of the Communist Party of Việt Nam asked the diplomats to follow the diplomacy art of President Hồ Chí Minh.

The Party chief stressed that the appointment of the ambassadors is their great honor and also their mission assigned by the country and people.

He asked the diplomats to enforce Việt Nam’s consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, development, with multilateral and diversified relations. At the same time, they should spare no effort to facilitate the country’s international economic integration and expand international cooperation in other fields.

Encouraging the ambassadors to follow President Hồ Chí Minh’s diplomacy art and style, General Secretary Mạnh urged them to pay due attention to economic and cultural diplomacy while fruitfully realizing policies on expatriate Vietnamese community.
