During a reception given to Ms. Victoria Kwakwa, WB Country Director in Việt Nam, on Monday in Hà Nội, Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng assured that Việt Nam would map out specific programs to disburse the US $1.3 million credit financed by the bank by 2010.

The Deputy PM also added that Việt Nam wants to seek further supports and advices from the bank to boost up its economic development, ensure social security, and tackle climate change and sea-level rise.

Ms. Victoria Kwakwa lauded the fine and close ties between Việt Nam and the World Bank, congratulating the country’s achievements in coping with the global economic downturn. Việt Nam’s positive growth rate is significantly encouraging, said Ms. Kwakwa.
