Permanent Deputy PM receives British Council’s top leader
VGP – In his meeting with Vietnamese Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng on Friday evening, the British Council’s Chief Executive Martin Davidson expressed his desire to closely cooperate with Việt Nam in teaching English language here.
Mainly engaging in
popularizing English language globally, the British Council has trained and bettered
English skills for a large number of Vietnamese teachers and students. The
Council has also recently signed with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and
Social Affairs an agreement on training cooperation with Vietnamese vocational
schools and universities.

cooperation between the two countries in many fields, including economics,
culture and diplomacy, Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng praised the British Council
for its significant contributions to the UK-Việt Nam bilateral relationship.
He stated that Việt Nam is
paying great attention to nurturing a high-quality pool of laborers for its
national socio-economic development, and foreign languages, especially English,
is always a priority.
