PetroVietnam is among 18 enterprises from the Asia, Europe, America and Australia signing contracts worth US $650 million with Perupetro.

According to an assessment of Andina, Peru News Agency, the presence of Việt Nam’s biggest State-owned petroleum enterprise shows Peru’s potential for oil and gas development and confidence of foreign enterprises in its investment climate.

Recently, during a visit made by PetroVietnam’s leaders to some Latin American countries, several memoranda of understanding were signed to establish partnerships with national oil and gas groups of Nicaragua, Bolivia and Argentina.

So far, PetroVietnam has got involved in 20 projects to explore and exploit oil and gas outside Việt Nam, such as in Algeria, Malaysia, Iraq, Cuba and Madagascar. It also strives to tap more opportunities for cooperation in other promising regions, including Africa, South America, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and former-Soviet zone.
