Presidential-level meeting of VN-China Joint-committee on demarcation and border-marker planting wraps up in success

VNGOVNet – The 19th-round meeting of the Presidents of the Vietnam-China Joint-committee for Land Border Demarcation and Border-marker Planting lasted from February 6 to 13, 2007 in Hanoi.

February 24, 2007 6:17 AM GMT+7

The meeting took place in a frank and friendly ambience. The two sides agreed to consider 2007 as the decisive year for border demarcation and marker planting work. They also gained a consensus on specific principles and solutions in order to complete the work this year, facilitating the whole process and signing new documents on border management statutes in 2008 as agreed by the two countries’ leaders.

The two sides signed the meeting’s minutes on February 10 and agreed to hold the 20th round meeting in Beijing in April.
