Recovered COVID-19 patients encouraged to join pandemic prevention in HCMC

VGP - Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son has called upon recovered COVID-19 patients to join frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

September 03, 2021 11:30 AM GMT+7

The call was issued as the southern metropolis is still facing mountain of challenges which require efforts from the city’s authorities, residents and supportive medical forces.

The engagement of recovered patients in this fight would be a source of positive energy and encouragement for frontline forces and particularly for current positive cases, Nguyen stressed.

When they feel strong and ready, recovered patients can contact the city’s Department of Health 028.393.09967 or 0907.574.269 to be registered.

HCMC is currently the gravest coronavirus outbreak site in Viet Nam, recording over 232,600 cases since the fourth wave emerged in the Southeast Asian country on April 27.

Of the patient tally, 116,337 people have recovered from the virus./.
