Red Sunday 2020 launched

VGP – The 12th Red Sunday was launched on December 22 in Ha Noi, expecting to seek blood donation from the community to help thousands of patients nationwide.

Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh who is Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee said that humanitarian blood donation has been implemented nationwide with different campaigns such as Spring, Red Journey, and Red Sunday blood donation.  

Over the past 11 days, the Red Sunday program has been promoted and collected 160,000 blood units. 

The annual event is organized by Tien Phong (Vanguard) newspaper, the National Steering Committee on Traffic Safety and the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusions (NIHBT).

The campaign attracted all social classes especially students. Thanks to the humanitarian blood donation, thousands of patients were helped to reunite with their families. 

The organizers expected that the Red Sunday 2020 that takes place in 40 provinces and cities with nearly 80 blood donation points will collect at least 50,000 blood units./.
