Seven more COVID-19 infection cases added, patient tally hits 113

VGP - The Ministry of Health has just reported seven more Vietnamese people contracting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the patient tally to 113.

Patient 107 is a 25-year old female graphic designer living in Thanh Xuan District, Ha Noi.

After patient 86 tested positive for virus, Ha Noi Center for Disease Control took her sample for COVID-19 diagnosis and she was confirmed contracting the virus on March 21.

She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 108 is a 19-year old male student from Ha Noi.  He was a passenger on VN054 from the UK to Ha Noi on March 18 and was taken to Hoa Binh Hotel for centralized quarantine in Hoan Kiem District.

On March 20, he developed light fever and cough and was transferred to Thanh Nhan Hospital for medical surveillance.

On March 21, he was tested positive for the virus and taken to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 109 is a 42-year old male lecturer from Hoang Mai District, Ha Noi. He returned from the UK on March 15 after transiting in Bangkok, Thailand.

Upon his arrival, he was taken to a centralized quaratine facility in Ha Noi's Son Tay Town until March 20 when he developed fever.

He was transfered to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases on March 21 and confirmed having the virus on the same day.

Patient 110 is a 19-year old student from Ha Noi. He returned to Viet Nam on March 19 from the US after transiting in Japan.

During his stay in the US, he was in contact with a positive case on March 8. Upon his arrival, he got fever and was taken to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh where he was confirmed having the virus on March 21.

Patient 111 is a 25-year old female student from Hai Hau District in the Northern province of Nam Dinh.

She was a passenger on flight VN018 from France to Viet Nam on March 18 and was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Hung Yen province on March 19, and confirmed contracting the virus three days laters.

Patient 112 is a 30-year old female student from Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi. She returned to Viet Nam from France on March 17.

She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District.

Patient 113 is is a 18-year old female student from Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi. She landed in Ha Noi from the UK on March 18.

On March 20, she got light fever and was sent to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi's Dong Anh District for quarantine and medical surveillance.

Of the total infection cases confirmed so far, 17 have recovered and exited hospitals while the rest have been reported since March 6./.
