Seven new COVID-19 cases confirmed, patient tally rises to 349

VGP - Seven Vietnamese people returning from Sweden and Finland have been confirmed the latest COVID-19 cases in Viet Nam, bringing the patient tally to 349, the National Steering Committee said Friday afternoon.

Specifically, patient 343 is a 27-year old woman residing in Cam Pha Town of Quang Ninh Province.

Patient 344 is a 52-year old man residing in Cua Lo Town of Nghe An Province.

Patient 345 is a 39-year old woman in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.

Patient 346 is a 6-year old boy in ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.

Patient 347 is a 6-year old boy in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.

Patient 348 is a 39-year old man in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.

Patient 349 is a 12-year old boy in Ha Noi’s Bac Tu Liem District.

All of them were among passengers onboard the flight VN2 that landed in Noi Bai International Airport on June 6.

They are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

With the latest patients, the number of imported cases increased to 209, the National Steering Committee said.

As of 6:10 pm on June 19, 326 COVID-19 patients were cleared of the virus, accounting for 93.4%.

At present, 6,176 people who had close contact with confirmed patients or returned from overseas are kept in quarantine, including 89 in hospitals, 5,734 in other quarantine facilities, and 353 at homes./.
