Shoes & Leather VN 2008: Momentum for outstanding development

VGP - The Shoes & Leather Việt Nam 2008 Fair will provide opportunities for businesses to learn about the latest technology and equipment as well as the world’s footwear development. During the event, Vietnamese enterprises can showcase products and seek partners to promote export and market expansion.

The 4-day fair which lasts from September 24-26 in Hồ Chí Minh City, attracted more than 115 footwear makers and suppliers from Việt Nam and 18 other countries and territories, namely Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, Spain, Turkey and the five newcomers Germany, Italy, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.

The 10th fair of its kind displayed footwear making machinery, leather, chemicals, accessories, spare parts, fashion shoes, and other leather products.

Having been held in nine consecutive years, the Shoes & Leather Việt Nam is considered the most typical yearly international event hosted by Việt Nam’s shoe and leather sector. It is also a prestigious forum of leading shoe producers and suppliers from Việt Nam and all over the world.

It is reported that Việt Nam expects to earn around US $4.5 billion from footwear exports this year, compared to the last year figure of US $3.99 billion.
