Some new economic zones to be founded
VNGOP – The Government Office sent on May 03 Document 2310/VPCP-KTTH to the Ministry of Planning and Investment; People's Committees of Nghệ An, Phú Yên, Khánh Hòa, Quảng Bình, and Quảng Ninh Provinces; and the Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group to deliver the PM's opinions on their proposals.

Accordingly, the PM agreed in principle with the Quảng Bình and Phú Yên People's Committees to make planning schemes for the Hòn La and Nam Phú Yên Economic Zones respectively, submitting them to the competent agencies for approval.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment was entrusted to cooperate with the Khánh Hòa People's Committee to propose and submit to the PM for deciding the revised Statutes on the Vân Phong Economic Zone; collaborate with the Quảng Ninh People's Committee to hold before May 15 a meeting with the relevant agencies to establish the Hải Hà Economic Zone, then submitting it to the PM for decision; and report to the PM for deciding the founding of the Southeast Nghệ An Economic Zone.
