State President Nominates Pham Minh Chinh As Candidate For Prime Minister
VGP – Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC) Organization Commission, has been formally nominated by State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc as candidate for Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

In the afternoon, the legislators will cast secret ballots to elect the new Prime Minister.
Chinh was born on December 10, 1958 in Hoa Loc Commune, Hau Loc District, Thanh Hoa Province
He served as Chairman of the CPVCC Organisation Commission since February 2016.
On January 30, 2021, he was elected as member of the 13th Party Central Committee in the 2021-2026 tenure at the 13th National Party Congress.
On January 31, 2021, he was elected as a member of the Political Bureau in the 2021-2026 tenure at the first plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee./.
