The event was jointly organized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnamese Embassy, US-ASEAN Business Council and the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

The State President believed that the seminar would help strengthen mutual understanding and cooperative opportunities between the two sides’ enterprises, contributing to upgrade the Comprehensive Partnership relations in a more practical manner.

Discussions would also help businesses to prepare well for the implementation of the TPP in the future and policy-makers better understand demands and aspirations of businesses.

The U.S. business representatives hoped that Vietnamese high-ranking leaders will continue regular dialogues in a bid to further improve the investment environment.

Viet Nam proposed the U.S. enterprises voice support for early recognition of its market economy status and for removal of trade barriers against Vietnamese products.

The U.S. businesses spoke highly of Viet Nam’s determination and commitments during the TPP negotiation process.
