At the meeting, the State President hailed the developments in U.S.-Viet Nam Comprehensive Partnership and recent high-ranking leaders’ visits, which has manifested the importance of Viet Nam-U.S. relationship for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Viet Nam regards the U.S. as a top partner in trade and investment, the State President affirmed.

He welcomed President Donald Trump’s State visit to Viet Nam, saying it is not only meaningful to the two nations’ relations but also the massage of the U.S. policy on the Asia-Pacific region.

With the determination to establish an Asia-Pacific community for people and businesses, Mr. Quang hoped that the U.S. businesses will contribute their voices and initiatives to realize the goals.

The State leader suggested the U.S.-APEC Business Coalition continue seeking for further investment opportunities and long-term operation in Viet Nam as well as play a bridging role in assisting the U.S. enterprises to invest in Viet Nam and encourage the U.S. Government soon recognize Viet Nam as a market economy and strengthen economic and trade relations with Viet Nam.

At the meeting, representatives from the U.S. businesses  appraised Viet Nam’s preparation and organization of the APEC Year 2017 and its efforts to create a favorable business environment.

Regarding issues on infrastructure, high-tech and health reform that caught the businesses' interest, the State President asserted that Viet Nam is deeply concerned about infrastructure such as airports, harbors and transport, focusing investment on high-tech areas to meet demand of the fourth industrial revolution.
