The new decision was issued after Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue was picked to lead the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee.

Under the latest decision, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers shall be in charge of the following supplementary tasks:

1. Prime Minister:

- Direct and regulate the general economic affairs, including planning; finance and prices; money and banking; the capital and stock markets; financial investment sources; State reserves; macroeconomic projects and management policies.

- Monitor and direct the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Viet Nam, the National Financial Supervisory Commission and the Deposit Insurance of Viet Nam.

- Serve as Chairman of the National Financial and Monetary Policy Advisory Council and head of the Central Steering Committee on reforming wage policy, social insurance and preferential treatment for people with meritorious services.

2. Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh:

- Assist the PM in monitoring and directing the field of arranging and renovating State-owned enterprises.

- Monitor and direct the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises and the Viet Nam Development Bank.

- Serve as head of the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of Enterprises, and head of the steering committee for the handling of shortcomings and weaknesses of some projects and enterprises which are behind schedule and inefficient in the industry and trade sector.

3. Deputy Prime Minster Pham Binh Minh:

- Assist the PM in monitoring and directing the fields of international economic integration; negotiating and implementing bilateral and multilateral economic agreements; and the ASEAN single window, the national single window and trade facilitation.

- Serve as Chairman of the National Steering Committee for ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation.

4. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam:

- Assist the PM in monitoring and directing the areas of wage and social insurance policies and poverty reduction.

- Monitor and direct the Viet Nam Social Security and the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies.

- Serve as head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, and permanent deputy head of the Central Steering Committee on reforming wage policy, social insurance and preferential treatment for people with meritorious services.

5. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung:

- Assist the PM in monitoring and directing the development of types of enterprises, as well as the collective economy and cooperatives.

- Serve as head of the Central Steering Committee for National Target Program on New Rural Development, and head of the Steering Committee for Renewal and Development of Collective Economy and Cooperatives.

* Earlier, the Politburo issued Decision No. 1818-QDNS/TW dated February 7, 2020 assigning Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue to hold the position of Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure./.
