Tourism sector has new logo

VGP – The Việt Nam National Administration of Tourism on January 26 selected a new logo with a star, five colors, and a slogan “Vietnam - A different orient” as the new symbol of the Vietnamese tourism industry.

The new logo of Việt Nam’s tourism

The winning entry will be used for the 2011-2015 period, replacing the existing slogan “Vietnam - the Hidden Charm”.

Cowan Vietnam Company Limited, the winner of the four-month contest, has defeated other 400 candidates, as its designed logo presents the development strategy, attractiveness, competitiveness of the Vietnamese tourism sector. 

In the 2011-2020 period, the sector will strive to gain an annual growth rate of 10-15% for foreign guests, and 15-18% for domestic tourists.

The sector will also enhance the building and developing of its trade mark and expand tourism promotion programs with its new logo./.
