Tourism sites temporally closed due to COVID-19 concerns

VGP – A large number of famous tourism sites have planned to temporally stop receiving tourists. Local people were suggested to avoid crowds.

On March 10, local leaders of Hoi An City in Quang Nam province said that they would close historical relics if new COVID-19 cases are confirmed. 

So far, Hoi An city houses over 8,000 hotels and guest houses. About 11 ticket points are open with about 1,300 tickets sold a day. However, two ticket points was temporally closed at night. 

The Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee decided to strengthen COVID-19 prevention. Accordingly, since March 10, Cham Islands was temporally closed. The central province of Quang Nam also recommended local residents to avoid crowds. 

The Con Dao district People’s Committee also proposed the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial People’s Committee consider temporallyprohibiting foreign visitors from March 10. The district island encouraged foreigners to back mainland and not permit Vietnamese tourists to Con Dao.

Since March 10, all tourism vessels at Cat Ba island (Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city) temporally stopped welcoming guests. 

Earlier, Quang Ngai temporally stopped sending guests to Ly Son island.
