Trade turnover of US $1 bil. expected between VN, Denmark

VGP - Many leading domestic corporations and over 70 Danish enterprises on Tuesday gathered at the Việt Nam-Denmark Business Forum organized this morning in Hà Nội on the occasion of the official visit made by the Danish royal family to Việt Nam.

Speaking at the Forum, Vietnamese Permanent Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng stressed that the cooperation between Việt Nam and Denmark is flourishing extensively and intensively, particularly in trade, investment, and education.

Thus, the Deputy PM hoped that the two sides will deepen their bilateral ties and noted that the Government of Việt Nam will offer best conditions for Danish investors’ performance in Việt Nam, so as to raise the two-way trade turnover to US $1 billion in several years.

Danish Prince Henrik de Monpezat showed his admiration to socio-economic achievements and relatively high growth rate gained by Việt Nam despite the global economic and financial crisis.

He stated that the Government and business circle of Denmark want to closely cooperate with such emerging economies like Việt Nam.

The Prince pointed out some potential fields for bilateral cooperation, including infrastructure construction, aviation, sea transport, tourism, energy, clean food technology and environment protection.
