“Two corridors, one economic belt” to be drastically realized, said PM

VNGOVNet – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized in the reception to the visiting Chinese Communications Minister Li Shenglin in the afternoon of April 03 in Hanoi.

The PM asserted that, to fulfill commitments made by the two countries’ leaders under the motto “Friendly neighborhood, comprehensive cooperation, long-standing stability, and look toward the future”, the projects signed by the two countries should be put into reality. The most noteworthy is the project “Two corridors, one economic belt” of which the core is to develop a road and express railway system: Nanning (China)-Lạng Sơn–Hanoi–Hải Phòng–Quảng Ninh; Yunnan–Lào Cai–Hanoi and the belt road in the Gulf of Tonkin. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that, the bilateral trade turnover much depends on the implementation of this project which will help cement the Vietnam-China traditional friendship. 

The PM highly appreciated all commitments made in the talks between Minister Li Shenglin and Vietnamese Transport Minister Hồ Nghĩa Dũng. Vietnam will assist Chinese groups and businesses to do investment in Vietnam, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng affirmed. He added “In similar conditions, Vietnam always gives priorities to Chinese enterprises”. 

Minister Li Shenglin respectively thanked PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng’s ideas for the transport and communications of the two countries. The guest revealed that the Chinese Ministry of Communications is encouraging Chinese businesses to invest in the project “Two corridors, one economic belt”. He and Vietnamese Transport Minister Hồ Nghĩa Dũng had discussed to found a working team soon to survey and build roads and express railways under the project, he said. He also expressed his determination to make such cooperation projects effective./.
