VGP - Two new steel-made flyovers were open for traffic in Hà Nội at Lang Ha-Thai Ha and Chua Boc-Tay Son junctions to reduce traffic jams during rush hours.

Lang Ha-Thai Ha flyover is open for traffic

The construction project had an investment of VND132 billion (US$6.3 million).

Each two-lane flyover are nine meters wide and five meters above ground at their highest point. They were built from eight prefabricated steel pillars, which shaved three months off the construction time.

The flyovers permit motorbikes and cars under three tons to run at a maximum speed of 25 km per hour.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee of Ha Noi Nguyen The Thao announced that work would begin on a four-lane flyover at Le Van Luong-Lang Road junction in May. The project is scheduled to finalize by December./.
