Two more Covid-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 812

VGP – Two residents of Ha Noi and Bac Giang were confirmed the latest Covid-19 cases this morning, raising the country’s patient tally to 812, according to the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

Patient 811 is a 33-year old woman from Yen Dinh Commune, Son Dong District of Bac Giang Province.

On July 21-24, she travelled to Da Nang with her family’s members who have tested positive for the virus (patients numbered 673, 674, 744, 793, and 794).

The woman is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 812 is a 63-year old man from Phu Dien Ward, Bac Tu Liem Disitrict, Ha Noi.

He came in last contact with a person on July 27. The person visited Da Nang and was later confirmed positive for the virus.

On August 3, the man developed fever and fatigue and got his sample tested by the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control.

The man is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

With these new cases, the number of Covid-19 patients linked to Da Nang reported since July 25 rose to 355.

Of the patient tally confirmed so far, 317 are imported cases.

As many as 395 patients have recovered, accounting for 48.6% of the nation’s total patients and ten others have died of the virus and other diseases./.
