Addressing a reception for UAE Minister of Economy Sheikh Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri in Ha Noi on October 15, Deputy PM Dung congratulated the UAE government and people on their significant socio-economic achievements over the past years.

The host spoke highly of the role and operations of the Viet Nam-UAE Intergovernmental Committee, especially the fine outcomes of the committee’s fourth meeting in Abu Dhabi in April 2019 under the chair of Bin Saeed Al Mansouri and Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh.

For his part, the guest emphasized that the UAE considers Viet Nam as its most important strategic partner in Southeast Asia.

There remain numerous investment opportunities in Viet Nam for the UAE firms, he said, noting that the UAE side has invested in the areas of logistics, seaports and real estate over recent times, and is researching and exploring the investment opportunities in the fields of the digital and knowledge-based economy.

Alongside the cooperation potential in tourism, food processing is also an area in which the UAE is interested and wishes to cooperate with Viet Nam, Bin Saeed Al Mansouri stated.

He affirmed that the UAE is willing to share experience and promote cooperation concerning the strategies to reform and diversify the economy and the development of the digital and knowledge-based economy./.
