US $1.4 billion needed to build Hà Nội-Lạng Sơn expressway
VGP - Việt Nam needs around US $1.4 billion to build a new Hà Nội-Lạng Sơn expressway, with 500 million USD in support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Vice General Director of the Việt Nam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC), Trần Ngọc Hoàng, said that a feasibility study for this project made by VEC and ADB consultants was presented to the Ministry of Transport on February 17 in Hà Nội.
With a total length of 158 km, the expressway will go through the northern provinces of Lạng Sơn, Bắc Giang, Bắc Ninh and the capital city of Hà Nội.
According to VEC, the expressway will facilitate transport from Hanoi to the northern provinces and help boost Việt Nam-China trade exchange and create good conditions to develop the key economic zone in Việt Nam’s northeast region./.
