VN Expo 2009: Opportunities for trade and investment promotion

VGP - Việt Nam International Trade Fair (Việt Nam Expo 2009) officially opened this morning in Hà Nội, luring many domestic and international enterprises.

The event drew the participation of enterprises from Việt Nam, China, Belarus, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Taiwan, Cuba, Laos, Cambodia and others.

Domestic businesses will display their products in over 300 among 520 kiosks.

The major exhibits include agro-forestry and marine products, food and foodstuff, wood furniture, interior decoration, fine arts, garments and footwear; eletrict and electronic appliances, machinery, and building materials.

The event, themed "Việt Nam - Open Trade and Investment Opportunities", is scheduled to last from April 8-14. On the sideline, seminars and conferences relating to Việt Nam's trade and export promotion will also be organized.
