September 23, 2009 9:36 PM GMT+7

The theme of the congress is "Improving VFF’s role, promoting democracy, consolidating social consensus, building the national solidarity block for people’s prosperity, powerful country, equal, democratic and civilized society."

The Congress will focus on  the amendment and approval of the VFF’s Charter ; and the selection of the VFF’s 7th Central Committee.

The most outstanding feature of the event is that, besides a plenary session, the participants will work in five groups for different subjects like the promotion of the VFF’s role, the building of the national solidarity block, renewing emulative movements and working out new action plans for the VFF in the new term 2009-2014.

The Congress also expects to launch an emulative movement to welcome the millennium of Thăng Long-Hà Nội and the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Việt Nam National United Front and other national holidays.

Delegates from China, Cambodia, Cuba and Laos and some other 100 representatives of foreign embassies, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to Việt Nam will attend the Congress.
