Under the MoU, Japan will share its experience of developing legal framework and good practices for e-Government development, and cooperate in enhancing the capacity of ICT agencies.

Both sides will consider various forms of cooperation, such as exchanging delegations, organizing workshops, conferences and training courses based on mutual agreement.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung stressed the Government of Viet Nam is determined to boost e-Government development towards digital economy and digital society, as evidenced by the establishment of the National Committee on e-Government headed by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan phuc.

E-Government development is closely associated with reforming administration and improving transparency and openness to better serve businesses and citizens, Dung said.

The MoC reflects Japan’s commitment to help Viet Nam realize e-Government development efforts, Dung emphasized./.
