PM Naoto Kan paid his official visit to Việt Nam right after attending the 13th ASEAN-Japan Summit and the 5th East Asia Summit.

During their talks, the two leaders agreed to maintain the exchange of high-ranking delegations and expand dialogues in all areas.

Việt Nam decided to partner with Japan to build the second nuclear power plant and conduct rare earth investigation, exploration, and processing here, revealed PM Dũng.

Appreciating PM Dũng’s proposals, Japanese PM Naoto Kan confirmed that Japan will wholeheartedly back Việt Nam’s nuclear power plant and rare earth projects.

It will also quickly assist Việt Nam to deploy the projects on the Long Thành International Airport, Ninh Bình–Bãi Vọt Highway, Nha Trang–Phan Thiết Highway, Lạch Huyện International Seaport, and new underground metro routes in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City.

Japan will continue close cooperation with Việt Nam in human resource development, auxiliary industries, trade, investment, technology, and environmental protection, said the Japanese PM.
