He was speaking during his meeting with Vietnamese counterpart Vu Van Ninh in Ha Noi on September 27.

Deputy PM Ninh highly valued the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries as well as the two sides’ efforts to prepare for the 37th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Economic, Cultural, Educational, Scientific and Technological Cooperation scheduled at the end of this year.

The two countries are also working for a new free trade agreement.

Regarding energy cooperation, the two sides are jointly conducting several projects, including the construction of oil storage and pipeline from Hon La, Quang Binh to Laos’ Kham Muon province and the 500kV transmission line from Hatxan to Pleiku.
