VNGOP – Addressing the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Asia-Middle East Dialogue (AMED II) in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, Deputy Foreign Minister Vũ Dũng emphasized the importance and necessity to strengthen the cooperation between the two regions in developing human resources, considering this a key factor for exploiting potentials and ensuring sustainable development for Asia and the Middle East.

During the two-day meeting on April 5-6, representatives from 52 countries and international organizations asserted their determination to boost the friendly and cooperative relations among governments and peoples of the two regions in terms of economy, politics and culture for further mutual trust in the 21st century.

Right after the AMED I held in Singapore in June 2005, the Việt Nam-Middle East relationship has scored positive achievements. The two sides have exchanged many high-level delegations. Over 21,000 Vietnamese laborers are working in the Middle East.
