VN, NZ Foreign Ministries hold meeting

VNGOP – The 6th Political Consultancy Conference between the Vietnamese and New Zealand Foreign Ministries was co-chaired by Deputy FM Đào Việt Trung and NZ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade John McArther in the morning of October 02.

The two sides discussed solutions and orientations to promote the bilateral cooperation ties between the two countries through making use of agricultural, education and tourist advantages. They also gained a high consensus in joining hand to put the results of Vietnamese President Nguyễn Minh Triết’s visit to New Zealand into reality.

The two delegations shared their opinions on regional and international issues of common concern, especially the cooperation within regional and international forums such as the East Asian Summit (EAS), ASEAN-ARF and the UN. They also exchanged views about religious and human right issues as well as cooperation between the two ministries.
