VN Space Committee further perfected
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has issued Decision No. 14/QĐ - TTg on strengthening the Viet Nam Space Committee.
Accordingly, the committee will assemble 12 members who are representatives from Ministries of Information and Telecommunication, Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Transport, Defense, Public Security, Science and Technology, Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology, and three scientists specializing in space technology.
Earlier, in September 2010, the PM signed Decision 1720/QĐ-TTg to set up the Viet Nam Space Committee, chaired by the Minister of Science and Technology.
The Viet Nam Space Committee will directly assist the PM in realizing the national strategy on research and application of space technology to 2020.
It will also help the PM oversee the implementation of the strategy and act as Viet Nam’s representative to international organizations on space technology.
