Mr. Tabuchi Masao, acting Chairman of the Committee briefed the host about the phase 5 of the Viet Nam-Japan Joint Initiative as well as the meeting to launch the next phase of the initiative.

He also briefed about the 3rd policy dialogue between the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations and the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Deputy PM Hai spoke highly of the outcomes of the working session between the delegation and relevant Vietnamese partners during the former’s ongoing working visit to Viet Nam.

Appreciating the role of the Federation in accelerating trade and investment ties between the two countries, Deputy PM Hai affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to and supports Japanese businesses’ investment in the Southeast Asian country.

The Joint Viet Nam-Japan Initiative was introduced in 2003 with an aim to create a platform for Japanese investors to hold policy dialogue with Vietnamese ministries and agencies in order to build an open and transparent business climate in Viet Nam.
