VN attends APEC Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting

VGP - The 5th APEC Human Resources Development Ministerial Meeting themed “Developing Human Resources, Vigorously Promoting Employment and Achieving Inclusive Growth” opened in Beijing, China on September 16.

Vietnamese Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân
The Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân attended the two-day meeting, at which Ms. Ngân made a speech about social security systems in response to with the global recession.

The Minister said, to minimize wrongdoings, it is necessary to build up a synchronous and flexible system of socio-economic policies, in which the State should play a central role in managing and implementing social security policies while encouraging social partners’ participation.

Addressing at the meeting’s opening ceremony, Chinese President Hu Jintao proposed four points, namely prioritizing the development of human resources, perfecting employment policies, improving quality of employees, and perfecting social security systems.
