VN becomes observer of Int’l Energy Charter

The Government chief assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to chair and work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant agencies to complete necessary procedures; participate in all activities of the Charter; research and propose regulations for Viet Nam to become a full member in an appropriate time.

The move is expected to back Viet Nam to build direct contacts with partners and strengthen dialogues and experience sharing on the field.  

The International Energy Charter is a political declaration adopted in The Hague on May 20, 2015. It was designed to spread fundamental principles of international energy cooperation to new partner countries towards sustainable energy development and energy security./.
